Brick Installers
Brick Install Tips
- Brick is an expensive but extremely durable option for your new home or renovation. Brick can last for generations.
- Brick’s popularity has faded over the past few decades due more cost effective alternatives such as cement board siding and stucco but brick is still an excellent choice.
- Brick is virtually maintenance free. The extra cost is well worth the investment.
- Review the Brick Industry Association website for inspiration as well as technical information and construction details. See their website’s Resources section for more information.
- Review the Brick Industry Association Builder Notes and discuss with your brick mason or installer to ensure proper installation.
- Install prices can vary so request at least 2 or 3 quotes and keep them honest.
- Bricks are sold in cubes. Most standard cubes hold 500-525 modular bricks, which translates to roughly 70 to 80 square feet of wall area.
- Brick labor is priced per 1,000 brick.
- It is important to request a written quote from your Brick Mason. Do not attempt to estimate the labor costs on your own.
- Small brick projects will require a visit from your Brick Mason to review and properly estimate the labor costs.
- Check that your brick installation includes cleaning. Review with your installer when requesting a quote and before the job starts. Brick Industry Association Cleaning Brickwork.
